Last Saturday..

Was a day

to be noted

in the calender..

Not only

was it

My niece's

birthday

but

It was also

The Earth day!

The

Time

where the universe

was suppose to dim

its lights

and

pay its respect

to

Mother Earth

in darkness..

We were @ Imm Swensons

when the lights slowly faded.

The waitresses and waiters

took out their luminous tubes

and brought out tiny candles .

It was indeed

a romantic scenario

when all the tables

were lit by candle lights..

but to think about it,

will this one hour

make people think?

Personnaly I do know a few people

who take the issue of global warming seriously.

They dont use air cons.

They dont use straws! *serious*

I came to meet these people

during my MDIS days.

and the people am talking about are teenagers..

So there,

there are a few gems amongst us..

ehem!

I guess a few steps each day

will bring us closer to the journey destined..

Be it good or bad..

that depends on our perceptions..

Plant it while its young they say.

So there we were at swensons,

educating my niece

and getting her all excited

about the lights off period.

She kept pesturing

my dad for the time

and kept saying

how cool it will be

if it happens once a week

and

We can gather under the moonlight

to exchange stories..

Young minds..

The way they think

has never failed

to fascinate me..

Just think about it..

Under the dazzling moonlight,

You gather at night

with your loved ones..

Children, Father, Mother..

One hour spent talking away..

or maybe just in silence..

After all silence can be the best conversation

you have with

some one

you treasure alot..

Amidst our busy schedule nowadays,

where people are struggling to survive

the recession period,

It would do us good

to shut out

from the hustle bustle..

But is it practical..?

Will people

learn to relax

&

enjoy nature's gift?

Can they give up

one hour of

Media connections?

Be it The Drama on TV

Or catching up on

their favorite

variety show

on youtube..

Will YOU Do it?

There are tonnes of possiblities

out there to enjoy life

even while survivng

the tough waves..

But it all lies in our mind..

You dont need

an entire life span

to say life is beautiful..

All you need

is a few

cherished moments

to say..

Thats life..Beautiful and Pure as it is..
